Spinach
Spinach originated in Asia and was introduced to Europe by Arab traders during the 13th century. Spinach is high in folate, which is necessary for healthy cell development.
Spinach is an excellent source of vitamins A, C, beta-carotene and folate, and also has a high level of fibre. It provides a small amount of some of the B group vitamins, potassium and calcium and offers a rich source of antioxidants.
